How to Help Me in Algebra - The Critical Step

How to Help Me in Algebra - The Critical StepIf you're at a loss about how to help me in algebra, you don't have to go far to find the answer. The problem is that algebra is not something that people look forward to doing at school, but if you use it as an opportunity to get better at everything that you do, you will learn a lot more than just taking tests. In this article I'm going to explain how to help me in algebra.First of all, try to come up with a problem that you are trying to solve. For example, try to figure out a problem that you are trying to design a website around, or you're trying to make a website that converts text to HTML. Whatever it is, you need to figure out a problem that you can be truly passionate about, so that you are able to pay attention to detail. Then once you've got a problem that you can focus on, you need to design a solution to the problem. For example, you can design a solution to design a website to handle information in html. Or you can design a so lution to design a website to handle information in text. Whatever you decide to design, you have to be sure that you're able to get the text in the right order.Keep your mind focused on the problem as much as possible. If you're really into solving a problem, try to keep your mind on the problem at all times. You don't want to lose sight of the problem, because that can easily ruin all of your work. However, if you need a break, you can just try to picture the problem in your head as much as possible. After you've designed a solution, you should get down and dirty with it. This is where you're going to apply your newfound knowledge to the problem. Take a look at your solutions. When you're looking at your solutions, look at them closely and try to figure out what exactly you're doing wrong.By the time you're done applying what you've learned in class, you should already be able to recognize your mistakes. Once you've done this, keep going until you've mastered it. Then you can move on to the next problem and do the same thing. Then you repeat the process until you've gotten all of your algebra. This is called optimization.Think about how different things would be if you had more time. You may think of problems that you couldn't solve and be able to figure out how to help me in algebra. If you do this every day, then you'll learn a lot more in your studies, and you'll end up becoming an excellent student who can write and read on his own.

italki World Cup Language Challenge Week 2 Goal

italki World Cup Language Challenge Week 2 Goal Lindsaydoeslanguages is blogging about her World Cup Language Challenge and were reposting here to share with the entire italki Community. This blog post originally was posted on Lindsaydoeslanguages.com website. Week 2 of the World Cup Language Challenge is almost over! Time flies when you’re having fun, hey? 7 lessons in now and already, I’m feeling much more confident with my spoken Portuguese. I’ve had a great selection of teachers so far. Be sure to check them out if you’re interested in learning Portuguese! Not only am I beginning to identify the differences between Portuguese and Spanish, but I’m also picking up the slight differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese. This week’s video is more football related, mainly because the World Cup actually started yesterday, partly because I want to get my football vocabulary in early before week 6 when I’ll be commentating some football â€" in Portuguese! Eek! I decided that instead of a news story, I would read an extract from the Portuguese Wikipedia entry about the World Cup, sorry, Copa do Mondo. I didn’t even look at it before filming the video, which was a conscious decision to highlight the things I need to work on. One thing I wasn’t not too sure about was numbers â€" especially years! It also made it clear that there’ll be some football lingo such as ‘nil’ that I’ll have to learn. Have a look at the video right here: Do you think there’s an improvement from last week’s video? If you have any Portuguese football vocab you think would be useful, let me know in the comments! italki World Cup Language Challenge Week 2 Goal Lindsaydoeslanguages is blogging about her World Cup Language Challenge and were reposting here to share with the entire italki Community. 4 Great Ways to Study for the SAT this Fall - TutorNerds

4 Great Ways to Study for the SAT this Fall - TutorNerds Orange County SAT Tutor Tips: 4 great ways to study for the SAT this fall Students know it’s coming; they all have to take the SAT at some point this fall or winter. This is a critical test, and many students will end up taking it several times to reach their particular desired score. Great SAT scores can sometimes lead to scholarships or other forms of financial aid based on merit and can certainly help students get closer to admittance to their dream school. However, there’s so much pressure put on doing well on this test that many students get overly stressed out. One of the best ways to combat this type of stress is to be well prepared and only have to take the SAT once or twice and then move on to more fun activities. These are a few great ways students can study for the SAT this fall (Our private Orange County SAT tutors are ready to help). 1. Read (a lot) Students who read â€" and this can mean novels, the newspaper, blogs, or journals â€" tend to have a much easier time on the reading comprehension and vocab sections of the SAT. Students who read a lot tend to expand their vocabulary naturally and have a better understanding of root words as well as the different emotional meanings of words. Additionally, students who are used to figuring out challenging elements found within the written language will find it relatively easy to comprehend the terms found within the 2016 SAT. Students who read naturally will already be developing these skills, but students who dont like to read for fun can start by reading a couple of novels or reading a shorter newspaper or journal articles that fit well within their schedule. 2. Knowledge of history Students who have a basic knowledge of historical figures as well as important events within history â€" both political and social â€" tend to do well on standardized tests such as the SAT. Whether or not students will directly demonstrate their knowledge of history on the exam is to be determined, however, students who are also history buffs tend to have excellent analytical skills and be able to understand cause and effect, both essential for an exam such as the SAT. Theres still time for students to brush up on their historical knowledge and understand how one thing leads to another or why certain consequences occurred due to an event or conflict found within history. 3. Great math memory Some students do well in their math classes and have no trouble remembering formulas or procedures. Students who have an excellent memory for calculations and who can understand the importance of step-by-step elements of advanced math are also more likely to do well on the SAT. To some degree, having an excellent math memory is a natural talent, but students who work hard to learn and memorize can develop these skills overtime. Math is a subject where practice makes perfect, so its a good idea for students to do a little bit of math a few days a week so they can learn these important skills without becoming overwhelmed while they prepare for the test (READ: 5 reasons to avoid cramming for a test). 4. Eliminating unimportant information The SAT will always provide test-takers with some information that is entirely irrelevant. However, its up to the student to determine which information is unimportant and which they need to focus on to get the right answer. Whether students are doing a mathematical word problem, reading through a passage, or just trying to pick between two good answers, being able to get rid of irrelevant information is the key to success. If all else fails, students who have this skill will be able to eliminate answer choices â€" something that has always been an essential skill for standardized test-takers â€" so they can choose between two decent answers and have at least a 50-50 chance of getting a question right. Misogyny as the Weapon of Choice Why Elliot Rodger is a Case of Male Entitlement, and His Victims Are the Consequences

Misogyny as the Weapon of Choice Why Elliot Rodger is a Case of Male Entitlement, and His Victims Are the Consequences When it comes to misogyny, the victims are always the ones blamed.Photo Via YouTube If it wasnt already a fact embedded in our deeply sexist and oppressive culture, misogyny kills. On May 23rd, Elliot Rodger murdered six people and injured thirteen in Santa Barbara, first stabbing three of his roommates at his apartment before driving off to commence a shooting spree at the local university. As much as mental illness is being investigated as a factor in this horrific news story, another main factor, one that often goes forgotten and shoved under the proverbial patriarchal rug, was his intense hatred for women. In “Elliot Rodger’s Retribution,” a nearly seven minute long YouTube video he posted before the shooting, he describes his “revenge against humanity” and his years of enduring “an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires” due to his lack of sexual activity from women. Due to this “tortuous” state of affairs and blatant “injustice,” Rodgers states that the entire female gender should suffer. So what do all women inevitably deserve? According to Rodger, “utter annihilation.” When considering this intense hatred for females and the animalistic need for adoration and sex, it is clear that this is a case of misogyny and the Men’s Rights Movement, an anti-woman hate organization founded on the beliefs of anti-feminism, pro-domestic violence, pro-rape, pro-sexual assault, and the undying love for  ad hominem attacks. While it is apparent Rodger is suspected of being mentally disturbed and had been mandated by his own father to attend mental health counseling in the past, how much longer can violent sexism be excused and even, dangerously enough, socially acceptable? To excuse this as a crime due to mental illness and not misogyny further aggravates the underlying issue in this case. This is a man delusioned into embedding himself into the culture of hypermasculinity and victim-blaming; women are regarded as objects to him, and he demanded that these objects be available for use and his use only. This is a case defined by male dominance and female submissiveness, as Rodger states, I’m going to enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB and I will slaughter every single spoilt, stuck-up, blonde s**t that I see inside there, as a blatant indication that women deserve death if they cannot act as human sex toys. The Mens Rights Organization, or MRAs as they are individually called, is a delusional hate organization that encourages these acts of Rodger, and sympathizes with this mentality of misogyny. This is not an isolated incident, this is the reality of female oppression. According to author  Michael D. Kelleher, who writes in this 1997 book Flash Point,  mass killers, such as Rodger, are rarely insane, in either the legal or ethical senses of the term, and they usually dont display debilitating delusions and insidious psychotic fantasies of the paranoid schizophrenic. Instead, killers are usually marked by their personality disorder, often displaying signs of narcissism, grandiosity, resentment, a sense of entitlement, adoration, and violent fantasies.  James L. Knoll IV, the director of forensic psychiatry at the State University of New Yorks Upstate Medical University, calls these killers collectors of injustice who nurture their wounded narcissism. The typical mass shooter intends on nursing his personal tragedies and displaying them to the public, sometimes through video manifestos and other mediums, in order to create a narrative used for a public airing. And what exactly causes these violent massacres justified through the minds of narcissisti c mass killers? The concept of male entitlement. #YesAllWomen comments inspired by Rodgers anti-woman and male privilege rantings.Photo Via Time.com This is the reality of a 16-year old girl being stabbed to death after refusing a prom invitation. This is the reality of a rape list being spread around the Columbia University campus in order to prevent future rapings from occurring and to alert all students of sex offenders and predators. This is the reality of fourteen  female students being shot to death by a murderous anti-feminist after he was denied admission to their school, claiming women were taking positions only men should be allowed to have. While Rodgers mental illness is still being further investigated at this time, it is clear that women exist in a society that hates them and does not allow them the privilege to feel safe due to their biological bodies. The true problem with this behavior is that it is not seen as a problem at all. This is normative, socially acceptable behavior; this is males claiming womens bodies and their lives, this is males blaming women for shooting sprees, this is males living under a patriarchy designed by their own gender, for their gender, and blaming their behavior on rejection by women who, as females, were inevitably rejected from existing in a society that treats them as inflatable sex dolls and not  human beings. This is a case of misogyny in our rape culture, and mental illness can no longer be used as its scapegoat. As the body count rises, so does the need to reevaluate male entitlement and the prominence of anti-woman mentalities in order to medicate these festering open wounds that, consequently,  infect the lives and perceptions of females worldwide. Murderous misogyny is not a symptom of mental illness, it is a symptoms of male entitlement.

How to Make a Chemistry Reference Table

How to Make a Chemistry Reference TableIf you are considering a project in your school or college, a chemistry reference table can be a very valuable resource. This is a very effective way to create an introduction to the subject and make students understand the basic concepts of the subject.Your chemistry reference table will also help to provide a visual aid in explaining chemical reactions that can occur. There are several factors that should be considered when designing a chemistry reference table. You must consider the size of the student and the size of the room where you will be presenting the table. The first consideration you should make is the materials that you will need to make your chemistry reference table. If you are using traditional construction paper, be sure that it is acid free. You will need to have an acid free printer to print the table in order to make it safe for the student to use.You can buy technology displays that will allow you to display charts with rela tive heights on the screen. This will be useful if you are making more than one reference table for the same student. Another important thing to consider is what type of paper you will use to design the table.Tiff or offset printing is popular in the art and design world. You can get this kind of printer and you will be able to print pictures from photos and other sources. Many people have printers that have a digital camera that they can use to take pictures of subjects they want to include in their table. If you are planning to include a video, then you may want to look for a printer that has a DVD drive. You may also want to consider whether you will be printing the table on card stock or if you will need to print the table on graph paper. If you are using construction paper, it may be easier to transfer the information from the computer to the construction paper. If you are printing on graph paper, then you can transfer the information directly from the computer. Whatever type of printer you choose, you will need to be careful not to overheat the printer.Designing a chemistry reference table is not a difficult task. You can start with a general outline of what you would like to do, decide what you want to include, and then begin to make some notes as you plan the project. Remember that you will want to include both visual aids and material so that the students will understand the subject better.
